Casinos -- Roll the dice, place your bets, get lucky at the penny, quarter or $1 slots.  There are two casinos in Nassau.  The Crystal Palace/Sheraton Casino is located in the Cable Beach area.  Atlantis Casino (a bit larger in size) is located across the bridge on Paradise Island.
Atlantis -- If you love waterparks and pool activity, a non-guest day pass is available for $105/Kids $75.  Scope out the huge yachts docked at Marina Village.  Excellent photo opp at the Big Chair.  The Dig/Aquarium is cool to cruise thru–huge stingrays in the tank.  Normally tickets sell for $25-$35 but if you go later in the evening, you can usually walk thru for free.
Shopping -- If shopping suits your fancy, there are tons of duty free shops along East Bay Street featuring bargains on designer goods.  Or for the real bargain hunter, browse through the main straw market at the waterfront downtown Nassau.  Vendors carry a colorful selection of carvings and souvenir items.  Visit the smaller straw market located across the street from CP Casino at Cable Beach.
Ardastra Gardens & Zoo – Stroll around acres of beautiful tropical gardens.  Watch world-famous marching flamingos perform daily.  Guests are invited to feed the Lory parrots daily show times.  There are also iguanas, snakes, monkeys, birds, including the rate Bahama parrot and even a Vietnamese potbellied pig.  Open daily 9am-5pm.
Dolphin Encounter -- The newest inhabitants of Atlantis at Dolphin Cay, one of the world’s largest man-made dolphin habitats.  This 14-acre attraction includes an informative orientation session and shallow or deep water interaction with dolphins.
Forts -- Two forts located in the downtown area – Fort Fincastle and Fort Charlotte.  On the West End of Nassau is Fort Montagu.  Worth a visit to learn a little history of the island.
Hair Braiding -- The Hair Braiding Pavilion, Prince George Dock, is the place to change your look. At this government-sponsored pavilion, visitors can have their hair braided or corn rowed by certified hair braiders. Prices range from $2 for a single braid to $120 for a full head of hair.
