| Golf -- The Cable Beach Golf Course that is across from Shangri-La is a pretty decent track and the only public course. The rates are about $120-$145 (depending on the season) per person including cart. They do have rental clubs (for around $30) and you are required to wear a collared shirt. The best deal there is the twilight rates starting at 3:30 or 4:30 PM—- they drop the price to $45 per person. Of course that is when all of the locals show up and tee times are generally not taken during twilight hours. The best course is over on Paradise Island, The Ocean Club Course. It costs about $180-$260 (depending on season) per and you need to be a guest at one of the Kenzer Properties(Ocean Club, Atlantis). Twilight rates are also offered after 1 or 3 PM for as low as $120. If you really want to play there head over to the Atlantis and gamble for a few hours. Make sure you get rated. Then see if the Casino Host will get you on the course. The Blue Shark Golf Club (formerly South Ocean Resort) is located at the West end of Nassau. It is due to open soon and may become a public course as well. |
